I’m a big fan of New Strategist Publications, which publishes a ton of statistical information about American consumers–their titles are a go-to source for me for a lot of questions I receive from the SOM community. Today I was ecstatic to find out that Cheryl Russell, their editorial director, produces a (kind of) monthly newsletter investigating a specific consumer-related topic, which you can subscribe to for free. The newsletters have three sections: hot trends, a reader-submitted Q&A, and “cool research links”. A selection of the past newsletters include a Q&A session on how green America is (bad news–we have a long way to go), a link to a recent report on who is happy in America, and an description of how rising gas prices are creating a new statistic that she calls “gasoline ghettos”. Truly amazing stuff!
